- Perform in-home services for clients by following the care plans developed by the Homecare Service Advisors.
Services include:
- Homemaking: shopping, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry.
- Personal care: assisting the client with routine bathing, feeding, hair care, assistance with toileting and/or dressing.
- Report to work at assigned day and hour.
- Be clean, neat, and dress appropriately.
- Be courteous to clients, their families, and fellow employees.
- Observe confidentiality regarding clients and services.
- Report all emergencies immediately.
- Complete all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Attend all trainings as required.
- Report to central office of any changes in work schedule.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must complete a minimum of six (6) hours training plus an additional four hours working with an experienced homemaker aide.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Must pass a criminal records check, TB screening, and drug test prior to hire.
- Must be able to deal effectively with senior citizens.
- Must have dependable transportation, a valid Kentucky driver’s license and insurance.
- Must be capable of following instructions and completing forms.
- Must be physically able to perform the job.
- Must be able to walk, see, hear, and speak.
- Work requires a high level of mobility.
- Must be able to lift to 30lbs.
MACHINES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
- Must be able to operate own motor vehicle, phone systems, washer/dryers, mopping, sweeping, and generalized cleaning equipment.
- Be knowledgeable and follow all policies and procedures set by FIVCO ADD.
- Support the overall work and functions of FIVCO ADD.
- Interact professionally with customers/clients, other employees, outside agencies and community.
- Show commitment to the community, and accountability and ownership of work.
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.

About FIVCO Area Development District:
This organization shall be known as the FIVCO Area Development District, a local agency created under the Kentucky Revised Statutes (KRS Chapter, 147A), with its purpose being to promote, develop and protect the economy, health, education, and general welfare and to implement projects in accordance with KRS 147A for the people of Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Greenup and Lawrence Counties in Northeastern Kentucky, and to further act in conjunction with adjoining Area Development Districts to implement programs of benefit to the Northeastern Kentucky area. The FIVCO Area Development District was founded in 1968 and proudly serves its five-county region in many different capacities. The Board of Directors consists of 25 members from the five-county region. The purpose of the ADD is to assist in these areas: • Homecare • Regional Transportation • Revolving Loan Funds • Tourism & Recreation • Aging & Disability Services
