- InterNACHI certification (or equivalent nationally recognized certification such as ASHI) required
- Minimum 2+ years of full-time experience as a home inspector strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of residential systems including roofing, structure, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, and exterior components
- Demonstrated ability to identify material defects and safety concerns accurately and consistently
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, organized, and defensible reports
- Confident verbal communication skills — able to explain technical findings in straightforward, professional language
- Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills
- Effective time management and ability to complete inspections efficiently without sacrificing quality
- Comfortable using inspection software, mobile devices, and digital tools in the field
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently while adhering to company standards and procedures

Highly Preferred:
- Proven track record of positive client reviews
- Experience performing ancillary services such as radon testing, sewer scope inspections, and mold sampling
- Background in construction, skilled trades, architecture, or related field
- Perform comprehensive residential home inspections in accordance with company standards and industry best practices
Inspect major systems including roofing, structure, exterior, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, and ventilation
Accurately identify material defects, safety concerns, and major system deficiencies
Deliver clear, organized, and photo-documented inspection reports within required timeframes
Provide clients with a professional on-site summary of findings at the conclusion of the inspection
Communicate findings clearly and confidently to clients and real estate professionals
Recommend ancillary services (radon testing, sewer scope inspections, mold testing, etc.) when appropriate
Maintain company equipment and vehicle in clean, safe, and professional condition
Follow company scheduling, documentation, and reporting procedures
Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and professional development
Represent Total House Inspection with professionalism and integrity at every inspection
