About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to manage home infusion therapies with a focus on patient care, clinical oversight, and operational excellence. The pharmacist will support safe and effective medication use, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate care with providers and nursing staff in a fast-paced home infusion environment.
Home Infusion Pharmacist Compensation
- The pay for this position is $64/hr
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
Home Infusion Pharmacist Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday with rotating shifts (8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, or 9:00 AM–6:00 PM) plus required evening and weekend on-call coverage. Overtime available as needed.
Home Infusion Pharmacist Responsibilities
- Review referrals for appropriateness of drug, dose, route, and labs.
- Complete new patient starts and refills, perform medication reconciliation, and provide patient counseling.
- Monitor lab-dependent therapies and coordinate care with providers and nursing.
- Accurately enter prescriptions, document care, and adjudicate claims.
- Prepare and verify sterile compounded medications per USP standards, ensuring proper labeling and lot tracking.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support production, delivery, and inventory management workflows.
- Ensure timely and safe dispensing and delivery of medications.
Home Infusion Pharmacist Requirements
· Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required.
· Active pharmacist license in NC (or eligible).
· Experience in home infusion or sterile compounding preferred.
· Strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
