Our busy home health agency is rapidly growing, and we’re seeking an experienced home health aide to assist us in providing superior in-home health care to clients. Our ideal candidate will have excellent organization and communication skills, and 1-3 years of experience working as an HHA or caregiver.


You’ll assist our patients with companionship, basic medical care, light housekeeping duties, personal care, and hygiene tasks so that they are empowered to live happily at home. Compensation:

$16 - $20 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Mitigate issues with medications by helping to open bottles, organizing self-administered dosing, and arranging for refills, and help the patient with meal preparation and planning
  • Transport patients as needed to doctor’s offices or other health care services, grocery shopping, or for other errands
  • Ambulate patients as indicated in the care plan, and help patients complete exercises and physical therapy as needed
  • Sustain quality companionship and provide psychological and emotional support for patients and their family members
  • Complete basic medical tasks such as taking vital signs, measuring glucose and ketone levels, replacing bandages and dressings, and ensuring the proper use of medical devices
  • Administer Medications: Dispense medications as directed by the Registered Nurse (RN), maintaining an annual error rate of no more than one mistake
  • Resident Response: Attend to any and all resident call lights within 10 minutes to ensure responsive and attentive care
  • Light Housekeeping: Perform regular light housekeeping in resident rooms at least once weekly to promote a clean and comfortable living space
  • Keep each room up to high standards of sanitization by changing bedpans and sheets, and performing regular room cleaning
  • Service Charting: Accurately document all services provided without missing tasks, ensuring compliance with company standards
  • Assistance with ADLs: Support residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) according to each individual’s Client Service Plan, with a zero-tolerance policy for missed tasks
  • Give patient support with basic care, daily living activities, bathing, getting dressed, going to the restroom, eating regular meals, and taking proper medication dosages
  • Activities: Encourage and initiate activities to enhance residents' mental and physical health and promote socialization.
Qualifications:
  • Conclusion of home health aide training programs from community colleges are acceptable - Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) is a bonus
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Empathetic, compassionate, and kind personality with excellent organization and communication skills are desired
  • Physical requirements include being able to lift up to 100 lbs, may be required to stoop, bend, reach, and transfer patients up to 250 lbs as needed
  • Some college preferred, but a high school diploma or GED is required
