Join a well-established irrigation equipment manufacturer as a Powder Coater & Galvanizer in Harrisburg, OR, where youll play a vital part in the finishing and protection of high-quality metal components used in agricultural and commercial irrigation systems.
As a Powder Coater & Galvanizer, you will be responsible for applying coatings and galvanizing metal parts to ensure durability and longevity. This role offers the opportunity to develop specialized skills in finishing processes, working closely with a dedicated production team, and receiving comprehensive on-the-job training to enhance your expertise in coating and galvanizing techniques.
What Youll Do:
As a Powder Coater & Galvanizer, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing metal parts for painting and galvanizing, including cleaning and masking as needed.
- Setting up and operating coating equipment such as airless spray systems, brushes, and rollers.
- Un-racking, tagging, and documenting galvanized materials accurately.
- Cleaning galvanized products utilizing hand files, grinders, wire brushes, and other tools.
- Identifying coating or galvanizing defects and repairing imperfections using hot sticks, brush-on paints, aerosol coatings, liquid zinc, and torches.
- Ensuring all finished parts meet quality standards and safety regulations.
