High School Math Tutor at Trillium Academy

Tutors Impacting Public Schools (TIPS) is hiring classroom tutors to improve student success, support teacher and school needs, and enrich public school classrooms for the 2025-2026 school year! More details about our work and impact can be found on our website here. 

We are looking for tutors who:

• Will be culturally responsive people who can support students from all backgrounds
• Build relationships across lines of differences, acting with empathy and compassion
• Are committed to serving their community
• Can be flexible and problem-solve in the dynamic school environment
• Will communicate and collaborate effectively with educators
• Preferred: have some experience with the Autistic/ADHD community

In this position you will:  

• Support neurodivergent and gifted high school students in Calculus and Real World Math in small groups or one-on-one; additional middle school writing and study skills support at Trillium Academy (2706 S. Jackson Street, Seattle, WA 98144)
• Assist teachers and other school staff with group instruction, classroom activities, and special projects
• Build valuable leadership, collaboration, and communication skills 
• Develop professional relationships with faculty, staff, and TIPS administration
• Receive paid training on Race & Equity in Education, Culturally Responsive Teaching, Student Engagement & Management, creating Inclusive & Welcoming School Environments, Social Emotional Learning strategies, and more!
• Get paid $24/hour
• Accrue paid sick leave

Schedule:

• Start Date: March 2, 2026
• End Date: June 4, 2026
• Tuesdays and Thursdays: 3 hours per day
• Schedule Breakdown:
• 12:35-1:25 P4 MS Science (Writing/ Study Skills support)
• 1:30-2:20 P5 HS Calculus (Math support)
• 2:40-3:30 P6 HS Real World (Math tutoring in 1:1 or small group)
• 6 hours a week
• Schedule is fixed to meet school's needs
• Follows school schedule for breaks and holidays
