Hematology/Oncology Physician
Join our dynamic team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician and play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to adult patients with solid tumors and malignant hematologic conditions. Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology
- Active Virginia State Medical License
- Current DEA certification for Virginia
- Minimum of 2 years' clinical experience in Hematology/Oncology
- Proficiency with Epic/Beacon EMR systems
- BLS certification
- Strong clinical judgement and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with adult oncology and hematology patient populations
- Familiarity with infusion procedures and supportive care in oncology
- Multilingual abilities
- Experience in outpatient clinic settings
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Prior experience in a busy clinical environment managing solid tumors and hematologic malignancies
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams in oncology settings
Other Requirements:
- Available for clinic shifts Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Support staff collaboration including APPs, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and administrative personnel
- Support care for an average of 13-15 adult patients daily
- Must be authorized for emergency privileges if necessary
- Ability to support clinic operations and participate in continuous quality improvement
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $507.00
Work Schedule: Day shifts, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday
Duration: 3 months, with the possibility of extension
