The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Wyoming seeking Help Desk Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for IT hardware, software, and network issues across office and production environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with specialized manufacturing equipment peripherals, including label printers, barcode scanners, and shop floor workstations.
  • Install, configure, and deploy new computers, mobile devices, and software applications for employees on the production floor and in administrative offices.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and password resets for various business applications and manufacturing systems.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and create knowledge base articles to improve efficiency and self-service options.
  • Perform routine system checks and preventative maintenance on critical IT infrastructure to minimize production downtime.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff or third-party vendors, ensuring timely resolution.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience providing IT support in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common manufacturing-specific applications (e.g., ERP, MES interfaces).
  • Solid understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi) and hardware troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and industrial peripherals.
  • Experience with IT service management (ITSM) software and incident ticketing systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with an emphasis on supporting users in a fast-paced operational environment.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience supporting ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor) in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with industrial hardware such as barcode scanners, label printers, or ruggedized devices.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and the urgency of production-impacting IT issues.
  • Basic knowledge of SCADA or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
