Our client is a financial services firm seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide first-level technical support to their team of 200+ employees. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems and helping people get back to work quickly.
You'll troubleshoot hardware and software issues, respond to support tickets, and ensure a positive experience for all users.
Responsibilities
- Respond to help desk tickets via phone, email, and in-person requests
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Set up and configure workstations, laptops, and peripherals for new hires
- Reset passwords and manage user accounts in Active Directory
- Install and update software applications and security patches
- Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when needed
- Maintain IT inventory and track equipment assignments
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in help desk or technical support role
- Familiarity with Windows 10/11, macOS, and Microsoft 365
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting
- Experience with Active Directory and user account management
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
- CompTIA A+ certification is a plus but not required
- High school diploma required; associate's degree in IT preferred
