Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues in office and production environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems for manufacturing-specific systems and shop floor equipment.
  • Manage and prioritize support tickets using an IT service management system.
  • Perform routine maintenance, installation, and configuration of IT equipment, including workstations, printers, and peripherals.
  • Assist users with account management, password resets, and basic application support for business and production systems.
  • Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and common solutions to build a knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to resolve complex issues affecting manufacturing operations.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for user support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
  • Familiarity with or quick aptitude for learning industrial IT systems (e.g., MES, SCADA, production line devices) and plant floor environments.
  • Experience with IT service management (ticketing) systems and creating clear documentation.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience supporting ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) or SCADA environments.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes or quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Lean).
  • Experience troubleshooting specialized manufacturing hardware (e.g., barcode scanners, label printers, shop floor terminals).
