Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic (ID #466856)

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Equipment Mechanic/Welder to perform maintenance and repair work on various equipment, trucks, and tractors. This position also includes welding tasks related to yard repairs. The ideal candidate will have experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and the ability to read schematics while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PM Service) on trucks, tractors, and yard equipment

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues

• Perform welding and fabrication as needed for yard repairs

• Rebuild machinery and equipment using pneumatic tools

• Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics for diagnostics and repair

• Clean and maintain the mechanic shop and equipment

• Wash and prepare equipment for use

• Assist in loading and unloading equipment from trucks

• Adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

• Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a mechanic in an industrial or heavy equipment environment

• Familiarity with diesel engines and backhoe equipment

• Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems

• Ability to read and understand schematics (electrical and hydraulic)

• Comfortable using pneumatic and other mechanic tools

• Flexible and able to work with changing tasks and priorities

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

• Reliable transportation and consistent work history

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

• Full mobility of hands for tool use and repair work

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Able to work in loud and dusty environments

• Must be able to climb up to 40 feet, stoop, bend, and kneel for inspections and repairs
