Southeastern Site Development, Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Pipe Foreman to lead underground utility operations on large-scale civil infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for supervising crews, coordinating equipment, and ensuring utility installation is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily pipe and underground operations
  • Lead crews performing:
  • Storm drainage systems
  • Sanitary sewer installation
  • Water main installation
  • Manholes, inlets, and utility structures
  • Read and interpret utility plans, profiles, and specifications
  • Ensure installations meet required line, grade, slope, and elevation
  • Coordinate with equipment operators, laborers, surveyors, inspectors, and superintendents
  • Plan daily work activities, crew assignments, and equipment needs
  • Ensure proper installation of bedding, pipe, backfill, and compaction
  • Enforce jobsite safety policies, OSHA standards, and trench safety requirements
  • Conduct daily job briefings and safety meetings
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, timecards, and material tracking
  • Communicate with project management regarding progress, issues, and field changes
  • Ensure compliance with owner and DOT requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction with utility leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of underground utility construction practices and materials
  • Proven ability to lead crews and coordinate heavy equipment operations
  • Ability to read and interpret utility and civil construction plans
  • Experience working in trenches and around live utilities
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in excavation environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on DOT or public infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with stormwater systems, sewer, and water installations
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
  • Trench safety and competent person training
  • Experience with GPS layout or grade control systems
