We are seeking an experienced Cash Posting Specialist to join our healthcare revenue cycle team. This is a high-impact role responsible for accurately posting payments, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring financial integrity across patient accounts. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, deep payer knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Healthcare Cash Posting Specialist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $29.00/hr
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

Healthcare Cash Posting Specialist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday | 7-8am start time

• Healthcare Cash Posting Specialist Responsibilities

  ·         Accurately post manual and electronic payments across multiple payers and accounts

  ·         Interpret and apply EOBs, EFTs, ERAs, and 835 files

  ·         Allocate lump sum payments across multiple patient accounts and dates of service

  ·         Research and resolve payment variances, denials, and unapplied cash

  ·         Reconcile accounts and ensure proper application of contractual adjustments

  ·         Collaborate with billing, collections, and payer teams to resolve discrepancies

  ·         Follow and help improve internal SOPs and workflows

  Healthcare Cash Posting Specialist Requirements

  • 3–5 years of healthcare payment posting experience (manual and electronic)
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • • EOBs, EFTs, ERAs, COB, and 835 file interpretation
    • Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and Workers’ Comp payer rules
    • Contractual adjustments, proration logic, and multi-payer payment rules
  • Experience resolving complex denials and reconciling unapplied payments
  • Understanding of revenue cycle accounting principles and payment reconciliation
  • Familiarity with systems such as Interactant (HCS), WellSky, or similar EMRs
