Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Healthcare Billing Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for the oversight and direction of billing and reimbursement functions related to fee-for-service and private-pay programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of medical billing systems, billing rules, and regulations, and be able to lead, support, and monitor workflows to optimize reimbursement processes. The successful candidate will also have a strong ability to maintain relationships, manage daily activities, and prepare and submit claims. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the billing and reimbursement functions for fee-for-service and private-pay programs.
2. Ensure timely and accurate billing, collections, and payment applications.
3. Manage denial management processes to minimize revenue loss.
4. Lead, support, and monitor workflows to optimize reimbursement processes.
5. Maintain strong relationships with payers, providers, and other stakeholders.
6. Manage daily activities of the billing department, including claim preparation, submission, and follow-up.
7. Stay up-to-date with payer policies, billing rules, and regulations.
8. Use various billing systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinical Works, Credible, Availity, and Office Ally proficiently.
9. Develop and maintain system builds to enhance billing processes.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare billing, preferably in a hospital or physician billing setting.
2. Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) is highly desirable.
3. Extensive knowledge of medical coding and billing.
4. Experience with electronic health record systems (EHRS) is required.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
6. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
7. Excellent understanding of dental management, collections, prior authorizations, and electronic claims submissions.
8. Strong knowledge of payer policies, billing rules, and regulations.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders.
10. Proven ability to manage daily activities efficiently and effectively.
