Key Areas of Responsibility Include:
- Oversight of Head Start and Early Head Start program operations.
- Ensuring compliance with Federal Head Start Program Performance Standards & Local licensing standards.
- Supporting and supervising management and program staff.
- Leading program planning, monitoring, self-assessment, and continuous quality improvement.
- Collaborating on budgets, grants, and reporting.
- Strengthening family engagement and community partnerships.
- Serving as the primary liaison between CCCB and the Head Start Grantee to ensure high-quality program delivery.
Minimum Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Significant experience in Head Start, Early Head Start, or other early childhood programming, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of Head Start standards, systems, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrate commitment to the Children’s Center of Cicero Berwyn’s mission and the communities we serve.

The Children's Center of Cicero-Berwyn is a private not-for-profit, 501 (c)(3) registered charitable organization chartered in the State of Illinois. All center based programs are licensed by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and are accredited by NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children)The Children’s Center of Cicero Berwyn provides a nurturing, developmentally appropriate atmosphere for children, while supporting parents and caregivers in their critical role as their child’s first teacher. We respect the child as a unique and special individual. We encourage families to help their children enjoy life and learn to accept themselves, and others, and prepare them for academic success. Currently, services are available in person AND virtually. The Children's Center of Cicero-Berwyn currently serves more than 950 families in Cicero, Berwyn and the surrounding communities. We provide educational, play-based childcare, full and half day Head Start and Preschool for All classrooms and home-based, child development and parenting programs.All programs are bilingual (Spanish/English).
