We are a rapidly growing fintech startup, looking for a passionate and experienced Head of Engineering to lead our technical team. As the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for driving the company's technology strategy, building and managing a world-class engineering team, and creating an environment where technological innovation thrives. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment, working at the intersection of technology and finance.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a small, high-performing engineering team, setting clear expectations, defining engineering best practices, and promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
2. Develop and implement the company's technology strategy, aligning it with our business objectives and ensuring we stay on the cutting edge of fintech innovation.
3. Collaborate with the product team to design, develop, and launch new features and products.
4. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, working closely with our legal team to navigate the complex regulatory landscape of the fintech industry.
5. Oversee the development of our mobile and web applications, ensuring they deliver an exceptional user experience and meet our high standards of quality and performance.
6. Drive the continuous improvement of our engineering processes and practices, leveraging the latest tools and technologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
2. Minimum of 3 years of engineering leadership experience, preferably in the fintech or tech services industry.
3. Proven experience in managing and scaling engineering teams.
4. Experience with React, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Heroku application hosting, Taildwind CSS and Redux and other relevant technologies.
5. Deep understanding of the fintech industry, including familiarity with relevant compliance and regulatory issues.
6. Experience working closely with legal teams to navigate complex regulatory environments.
7. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement technology strategies that align with business objectives.
8. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving technological innovation and excellence.
9. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
10. Passion for staying on the cutting edge of technology, with a keen interest in the latest trends and developments in the fintech industry.
