Head Camp Counselor

CITY OF NOVI seeks a Head Counselor for Camp Powerplay. Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Head Counselor is responsible for making sure the daily operations of camp are running effectively and efficiently. The Head Counselor ensures staff stays on schedule, completes paperwork, and communicates with parents and other staff members. Varying hours during the spring, then up to 40 hours/week during the summer, with last days being in August. $19.50 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications: 21 years old, have experience working with children, ability to work in the outdoors comfortably, possess an understanding of aims and objectives of camp, knowledge of camp program and planning, must be enthusiastic and dependable, and CPR & First Aid certification required (provided by the department)

Interviews will be conducted virtually or during college spring break.
