Introduction

Join our team as a Hardware Validation Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our cutting-edge hardware systems. You'll work closely with design teams to validate and enhance our products throughout their lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 6 years of experience in automotive or consumer electronics, focusing on electronics design and development.
  • Strong background in Silicon-level validation and ECU component testing.
  • Proficient in automotive communication protocols: CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, and Flexray.
  • Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements for testing labs.
  • Hands-on experience with bench-level testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and digital multimeters.
  • Proficiency in JIRA and JAMA for requirement management.
  • Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • LabView, Test Stand, and CAPL programming skills.
  • Experience in continuous improvement and managing "Lessons Learned" repositories.
  • Collaborative communicator capable of working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary validation partner for HW/SW design teams, providing centralized testing services.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, cases, and environmental strategies (DVP&R).
  • Collaborate with design teams to build specialized test scripts and hardware fixtures (HIL/Bench).
  • Plan and execute Durability, Electrical, and Functional validation for component-level ECUs.
  • Validate Silicon-level performance within the ECU environment, focusing on power integrity, thermal boundaries, and signal analysis.
  • Lead root cause investigations for test failures, using data reproduction and fault simulation.
  • Provide advanced data analytics to drive design improvements and ensure compliance with Component Technical Specifications (CTS).
  • Maintain and enhance technical templates and ensure a unified validation approach across the engineering organization.
  • Establish and manage end-to-end traceability between requirements and test results using JAMA, JIRA, and version control systems.
