Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Automation QA Engineer with strong expertise in testing Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications and Javascript and typescript. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining test cases both manual and automated for insurance systems. This role requires close collaboration with development, QA, data, and business teams to ensure high quality across policy, billing, and reporting platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain manual test cases and automated test scripts for insurance web applications in Javascript and typescript.
  • Automate UI, API, and end-to-end test scenarios for insurance workflows (Policy, Billing, Claims, Rating).
  • Perform manual testing and automated regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
  • Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
  • Maintain and enhance automation frameworks and test utilities.
  • Ensure adequate test coverage for critical insurance business scenarios.
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation, execution reports, and defect metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in Javascript and typescript automation.
  • Proficiency in Quality Assurance.
  • Solid understanding of insurance domain concepts (Policy lifecycle, Rating, Billing, Underwriting).
  • Experience testing enterprise web applications and APIs.
  • Guidewire Analyst Certification is mandatory.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data validation.
  • Awareness of reporting and data tools including SSIS, SSRS, and Crystal Reports.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
  • Having experience in the GT (Guidewire testing) framework is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter).
  • Experience validating ETL processes and downstream reporting.
  • Exposure to cloud-based insurance platforms.
  • Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3–6 years of experience in test automation and QA, preferably in the insurance domain.
