Guidewire Automation Tester with Playwright

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust manual and automated test cases for insurance web applications
- Automate UI, API, and end-to-end test scenarios covering critical insurance workflows across policy, billing, claims, and reporting systems
- Execute manual, regression, smoke, and sanity testing to ensure application stability and quality
- Collaborate closely with development, QA, data, and business teams to identify, track, and resolve defects
- Analyze test results, ensure adequate coverage of business-critical scenarios, and continuously improve testing effectiveness
- Maintain and enhance automation frameworks, test utilities, documentation, execution reports, and defect metrics
Required Skill
- Strong experience in automation testing using JavaScript and TypeScript
- Hands-on expertise in Quality Assurance for enterprise web applications and APIs
- Solid understanding of insurance domain concepts including policy lifecycle, rating, billing, claims, and underwriting
- Guidewire Analyst Certification is mandatory
- Working knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques
- Experience integrating automated tests with CI CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent field
- Three to six years of experience in automation testing and QA, preferably within the insurance domain
Desired Skill
- Experience working with Guidewire applications such as PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter
- Exposure to ETL validation and downstream reporting processes
- Awareness of reporting and data tools including SSIS, SSRS, and Crystal Reports
- Experience with cloud-based insurance platforms
- Knowledge of test management and defect tracking tools
