Our travel media client is looking for an editor to help create Guidebooks! This is a hybrid freelance role starting mid April, 35-40hrs per week for 7 months. You will be required onsite in Edmonds, WA two days per week.
In this role, the guidebook editor will:
-Re-tool/ update a long-form guidebook text into shorter form for use in other products
-Copyediting and proofreading to ensure accuracy and brand voice
-Report to Editorial group manager and collaborate with design teams
-Fact check and research content to fill in gaps/ensure accuracy
The ideal candidate will have:
3+ years of editing experience, ideally in publishing
-Proficiency in copy editing and proofreading
Proficient in Adobe Acrobat and Wrike (or similar PM tool)
Experience in travel, foreign language, a plus
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
