Guest Services Manager

Cypress Valley has an opening for a Guest Services Manager for a treehouse resort property in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. We are an eco-friendly treehouse resort centered on getting people outdoors to spend time in nature. 

As part of a small team, this position will have responsibilities ranging from office work, customer service, social media, event coordination and sales, as well as regular housekeeping. Given the diversity of tasks, candidates should be highly organized, able to prioritize their work, and have some experience in the hospitality and/or event industries.

Candidates should share our love of nature and enjoy spending most of their day outdoors. We are a small team and are looking for a like-minded individual who is hard-working and able to jump in and help where needed. 

The ideal candidate for this role is customer-oriented, enjoys making small operational improvements, and has hospitality and/or event experience. This position books room reservations, answers phone and e-mail inquiries, operates the property management system, coordinates contact-free guest check-in, provides customer support while guests are on-site, and performs various other duties for small hotel operations, including assisting with housekeeping on busy days. This position will also be responsible for managing and growing Cypress Valley’s event business, a unique fairy-tale venue with a ceremony platform suspended between two ancient cypress trees and lodging for event guests in nationally acclaimed treehouses.

Located 30 miles west of downtown Austin, Texas in Spicewood, the property currently features 5 treehouses, a large ranch house, an event center, 2 pools, and small retail sales.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prefer prior experience in Hospitality or Events.
  • Must have a pleasant personality and strong work ethic, including attention to detail. Must be punctual, responsible, and reliable.
  • Must have weekday and weekend availability
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Familiarity and facility with computer reservations, hospitality and guest relations functions is preferred
  • Proficiency in Google Drive, Word, Excel and other computer skills a mush.
  • Some management ior project management experience a plus.

COMPENSATION:

  • Part-time or full-time position available working min of 3 days/week. 
  • $25/hr +/- depending on experience, with increase after training
