About the Role
As a Group Fitness Instructor in Ogden, you'll lead dynamic 50-minute classes that challenge and inspire members at every level. You'll create an inclusive, welcoming environment where participants feel supported, motivated, and part of something bigger than just a workout.
This is a part-time role with pay at $30 per class hour and $15 per hour for administrative work.
What You'll Do
Lead engaging 50-minute classes with thoughtful warm-ups, effective workouts, and intentional cooldowns
Arrive early to prep equipment, music, and studio space for a seamless experience
Create a welcoming class culture - greet members, learn names, build rapport
Offer clear cues, smart progressions, and safe modifications
Assess injuries or limitations and provide adjustments that keep members confident and included
Manage class check-ins and track participation through RGPro
Keep the studio clean, organized, and fully stocked
Maintain a dependable teaching schedule (minimum 6 classes per pay period)
Participate in community initiatives like Front Fest and other events
What You Bring
You might be a great fit if you:
Have at least 5 years of professional experience (fitness, education, or related fields)
Hold a recognized Group Fitness certification (ACE, NASM, AFAA) or CPT certification
Have current CPR / First Aid certification
Understand anatomy, kinesiology, and safe training principles
Bring high energy without losing professionalism
Show up consistently and take ownership of your classes
Care deeply about creating an inclusive, positive experience
Can demonstrate exercises and lift up to 25 lbs
Believe fitness spaces should feel welcoming - not intimidating
