The Congregation of Holy Cross, U.S. Province is hiring a thorough, meticulous, and hands-on person to join our team as a full-time Groundskeeper and maintain the grounds of our local facilities (Moreau Seminary, Holy Cross House, and Fatima). What You'll Be Doing As Our Groundskeeper:

Under the direction of the Province Maintenance Supervisor, you'll take care of the important grounds maintenance tasks that keep our properties looking neat and tidy! You'll thoroughly complete routine landscaping work (mowing, trimming, weeding, raking, edging, etc.) and water the grounds to keep the grass healthy. You'll use various tools as you work, including push and riding lawn mowers, sprinklers, hand watering tools, and engine-powered/manually operated grounds maintenance equipment. You'll mainly work outdoors, but may occasionally help with indoor duties, such as moving furniture and furnishing apartments. No matter what you're doing, you'll take pride in doing an amazing job!

WHAT YOU BRING:

• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm (with some flexibility depending on the weather)
• 1+ years of relevant groundskeeping/landscaping experience
• Positive attitude and a team spirit
• Ability to work independently and follow directions
• Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, and lift 25 - 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid driver's license
• High school degree or equivalent
• Willingness to occasionally come in early or stay later to meet needs
• Experience using mechanical equipment and hand/power tools - preferred
