Groundskeeper
Position Summary The Groundskeeper is an entry-level position that plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of a multifamily residential community. Under the guidance of the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor, the Groundskeeper helps ensure that all exterior grounds, parking areas, and shared common areas are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming to residents, guests, and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned as needed)
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of community grounds, walkways, parking areas, and common spaces
Clean common interior areas such as hallways, lobbies, stairwells, restrooms, elevators, and corridors
Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, and polish floors using appropriate tools and cleaning supplies
Dust furniture, fixtures, lighting, trim, and equipment
Clean windows, door panels, sills, walls, ceilings, and woodwork
Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture as needed
Empty trash containers and transport waste to designated disposal areas
Replenish restroom and common-area supplies
Replace light bulbs and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
Perform basic outdoor tasks such as mowing, trimming grass, leaf removal, and snow shoveling
Assist maintenance staff or vendors with light tasks when requested
Deliver messages and transport small tools or equipment between departments
Follow safety guidelines, company policies, and training procedures
Attend required meetings and training sessions to learn job skills and industry best practices
Qualifications and Skills
No prior experience required; experience in cleaning, construction, landscaping, or multifamily housing is a plus
Willingness to learn and take direction
Strong attention to detail and pride in a job well done
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
