GRANT FINANCIAL ANALYST

Location: Stamford, CT
Type: Part-Time
Reports to: Grants Officer
Hourly Rate: $35-50/hr, depending on level of expertise


POSITION SUMMARY

Prepare, maintain, and reconcile financial records and reports for municipal and Board of Education grant programs. Monitor expenditures, track cash, ensure grant compliance, and assist with audits.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses for grant programs
  • Review expenditure reports for budget compliance and accuracy
  • Maintain grant databases (revenues, expenditures, technical data)
  • Prepare and submit vouchers, appropriation forms, and transfer requests
  • Reconcile accounts with department heads and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with annual budget preparation for grant funds
  • Create Projects, Awards, Budgets, and invoices in Oracle
  • Calculate employee benefits, indirect costs, and grant charges
  • Support tax abatement calculations and database maintenance
  • Assist auditors with documentation and single audit verification
  • Train staff on grant regulations and City procedures

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years grant accounting or financial management experience
  • Oracle proficiency
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Municipal or government accounting experience
  • Single audit and ACFR reporting knowledge
  • Prior grant management background
