We are seeking an experienced Grants Administrator to join our dynamic Accounting + Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the complete life-cycle of grants, from pre-award to post-award activities. This role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to, audit, compliance, reconciliation, and journal entries. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a knack for managing complex financial data. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire grant life-cycle, from pre-award planning and application to post-award administration and closeout.
- Ensure full compliance with grantor guidelines and regulations at all stages of the grant process.
- Conduct regular audits of grant activities to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, for all grant activities.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations for all grants.
- Collaborate with the finance team and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective grant management strategies.
- Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in grant administration and financial management.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of grant administration.
- Provide training and support to staff on grant management and compliance issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in grant administration, with a focus on financial management and compliance.
- Extensive knowledge of grant-related audits, compliance, reconciliation, and journal entries.
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and private grant regulations and procedures.
- Proficiency in financial management software and databases.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex financial data.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently.
