Responsibilities:
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities that support IT initiatives in municipal government.
- Prepare and submit high-quality grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation tailored to ITS projects.
- Collaborate with ITS staff to gather project details, define funding needs, and ensure proposals meet grantor requirements.
- Track application statuses, manage deadlines, and handle post-award reporting or compliance as needed.
- Monitor emerging grant trends in technology and public sector funding to maximize opportunities for the department.
- Program evaluation on ROI for ITS initiative and reporting and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Creating and updating grant calendar, tracking legislative changes affecting tech funding.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
Pay Rate: $20.00-$22.00/Hour.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in public administration, Business, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with IT concepts (e.g., software, hardware, cybersecurity) to effectively translate technical needs into compelling proposals.
- Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office, grant databases, and project management software.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities to work independently as a contractor.
- Experience: Proven experience in grant writing or fundraising, ideally in government, nonprofit, or technology sectors (2+ years preferred).
