Grant Accountant
Location: Stamford, CT (100% On-Site)
Compensation: $70k
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our client's grant accounting operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for flexible, part-time work with immediate start availability!
Responsibilities:
- Manage and allocate grant-related personnel charges within Oracle
- Review and reconcile current grant expenditures against budgeted amounts
- Analyze actual vs. projected spending and identify discrepancies
- Prepare and process journal entries and adjustments as needed
- Support the grants audit process by ensuring accurate documentation and compliance
- Collaborate with finance team members to maintain grant accounting integrity
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Oracle financial systems (required)
- Strong background in grant accounting and compliance
- Experience with audit preparation and support
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred:
- Previous experience with federal or state grant management
- Familiarity with grant reporting requirements and regulations
