Description

  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor grant budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Track expenditures against grant awards to ensure spending aligns with funder guidelines and internal policies.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for funders and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with program staff to collect supporting documentation and verify allowability of expenses.
  • Compile financial data for grant proposals, renewals, and audits.
  • Reconcile grant-related accounts and ensure accurate general ledger entries.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation for all grant activity.
  • Assist with year-end close and support external auditors as needed.
  • Monitor compliance with federal Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and other regulatory requirements, when applicable.
  • Support process improvements to strengthen grant management and financial controls.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or similar credential a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in grant accounting, nonprofit finance, or related work.
  • Strong understanding of grant compliance, restricted funds, and budget tracking.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Netsuite, Sage Intacct, MIP).
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple deadlines.
