Graduate Assistant - Football

Lakeland University, an independent liberal arts institution located in Plymouth, Wisconsin wishes to hire for an open Graduate Assistant position on our Football team to start this Fall 2026.

The Football GA will assist the Head Coach with promoting the football program, recruiting, organizing and running practices, competition coaching, fundraising, promotional activities, and other related assigned responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

A successful candidate will be a positive role model to our student-athletes on and off the football field, exhibit strong leadership, and strive to develop those leadership capabilities within our student-athletes.

Responsibilities also include:

• Monitoring and assisting student-athletes with academic success
• Effectively recruiting quality student-athletes
• Assisting the head coach with any/all aspects of the program

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree and acceptance into the Lakeland University graduate school program are required.
• Football experience and/or coaching experience is required.
• Must have an acceptable driving record.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations governing recruitment, eligibility and related functions is required
• Demonstrate ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality;
• Ability to effectively manage time and priorities;
• Ability to prioritize office workflow and make effective administrative decisions to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity;
• Demonstrated ability to tactfully and effectively communicate (written and verbal) with a variety of individuals;
• Strong critical thinking skills;
• Demonstrates organizational ability, and attention to detail and accuracy;
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
• Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Moderate to strenuous physical activity is part of the position. Requires the ability to run at a reasonable pace.
• Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
