GOLF RETAIL OPERATIONS CLERK

GENERAL FUNCTION

Under supervision performs routine administrative and custodial work in the retail golf operations for the LCMC golf course.

Representative ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets customers; responds to requests for information about the merchandise and the general store area.
• Operates a cash register for cash and credit card sales, and compiles a daily closing report.
• Restocks shelves, coolers, freezers, and display cases.
• Assists management in receiving, pricing, and displaying merchandise as directed.
• Schedules and maintains tee times.
• Maintains clubhouse and equipment as directed by management.
• Assists the manager in determining orders, pricing merchandise as needed, and taking annual inventory of stock.

Other Duties

1. Because of the small size of the LCMC staff, each employee is expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties as may be required from time to time.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.

Knowledge AND skills (Entry requirements)

Knowledge of:

Ø Basic understanding of golf.

Ø Customer Service

Skill in:

Ø Basic computer use;

Ø Communicating effectively verbally;

Ø Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with LCMC officials, employees, other departments and agencies, residents and the public;

Ø Dealing with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.

Minimum qualifications

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and six (6) months of related experience.
