General/Position Summary

The Senior Specialist will provide operational support to the Global Meetings and Events team and the broader Corporate Services function. This role ensures the seamless execution of multiple complex projects by supporting operational excellence, optimizing processes, and fostering cross-functional collaboration. By maintaining a detail-oriented and organized approach, the Senior Specialist will contribute to the successful achievement of departmental and organizational goals.

 

*** This position will not involve planning events, but will focus on project management of special projects***

12 month contract with likelihood to extend up to 24 months.

Boston/Hybrid

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Successfully support projects across Corporate Services function through to completion, including facilitating and coordinating cross-functional team progress and alignment, and proactively providing solutions and resolving issues with recommended action items.
  • Support the development of processes from defining to launching and pilot and propose ways of improving processes. 
  • Be accountable for established programs or workflows, follow processes outlined, and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Revise and enhance SOPs, work instructions, and PowerPoints to ensure operational excellence, actively participate in team projects, support broader team goals, and propose opportunities for process improvements.
  • Provide support to team members as requested by Global Meetings & Events and Corporate Services leadership.

Required Education Level

 

 Bachelor's Degree 

 

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate settings
  • Pharmaceutical experience (a strong plus but not mandatory)
  • CVENT (a strong plus but not mandatory)
  • PowerBi (a strong plus but not mandatory)

Required Knowledge/Skills

  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills, including content writing to draft, proofread, and edit communications
  • Expert presentation building skills, with ability to apply understanding of target audience and develop compelling PowerPoint content and presentations.
  • Experience with website, registration sites, and/or design to create visually appealing content
  • Strong aptitude for logistics & attention to detail with ability to think creatively and critically to move projects through to completion

  • Expert project management skills to action a large portfolio of straightforward projects, effective multi-tasking skills, often managing multiple pressing priorities and working to challenging deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to measure and analyze the outcomes of projects, process improvements, and leverage results to determine actionable solutions.
  • Ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, and cross-functional work environment
  • Demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills, and ability to compile and assess data to draw conclusions & identify trends
  • Ability to digest information quickly, apply existing knowledge, make connections across different areas, and identify areas to explore
  • Ability to build relationships and excel in collaboration with internal peers and external vendors
  • Expert in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Pay Range:

$55-$65/HR
