About this position: Global Logistics Manager     Location – Aberdeen, MD

Wage/Salary Range: $132K

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•         Manage global logistics operations ensuring timely movement, tracking, and accountability of all assets across multiple international locations.

•         Oversee all contract-supported warehouses, personnel, material handling processes, and security protocols.

•         Perform and supervise asset tracking, asset verification, reconciliation, and inventory management using approved asset tracking software.

•         Coordinate and execute shipments through commercial carriers and military logistics systems, ensuring compliance with U.S. and international regulations.

•         Manage the integration of global supply chain elements including packaging, storage, transportation, warehousing, configuration control, and documentation.

•         Review, develop, and maintain DoD logistics documentation including supply, purchasing, provisioning, and RAM analysis materials.

•         Lead global logistics planning, forecasting, distribution scheduling, and ERP‑based logistics tracking activities.

•         Support VSAT SATCOM and baseband communications systems logistical requirements including shipping, staging, warehousing, handling, and lifecycle support.

•         Implement and maintain ERP, inventory, and supply chain management tools to support enterprise-level visibility.

•         Develop and enforce standardized logistics processes across all supported locations.

•         Prepare logistics reports, metrics dashboards, and readiness summaries for leadership and Government customers.

•         Conduct global supply chain risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

•         Ensure compliance with DoD, Federal, international, and host‑nation logistics, export, and transportation regulations.

•         Supervise logistics staff, including hiring recommendations, training, scheduling, and performance oversight.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

•         Education Requirements:High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required

•         Level of Experience Requirements:

•         8 years of experience preparing and/or editing DoD technical documents, supply, purchasing, provisioning, design, and RAM analysis of complex mechanical or electronic systems/equipment.

•         3 years of global logistics leadership experience including ERP, supply chain systems, and international distribution operations.

•         Knowledge of how to perform asset tracking and maintain accountability of high‑value equipment.

•         Knowledge of commercial and military shipping methods and documentation requirements.

•         Knowledge of military logistics systems, DoD supply chain processes, and materiel management.

•         Knowledge of asset tracking software, ERP tools, or supply chain management platforms.

•         Ability to manage large-scale logistics operations, personnel, and multiple warehouse sites.

•         Strong understanding of global import/export laws, customs processes, and regulatory compliance.

•         Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce, edit, and manage highly technical logistics documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

•         Proficiency with ERP systems, logistics databases, asset tracking tools, and inventory software.

•         In-depth understanding of DoD logistics, SATCOM/baseband hardware support, and materiel accountability.

•         Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

•         Ability to provide clear written and verbal communication to senior leadership and customers.

•         Demonstrated ability to lead global teams and coordinate international logistics operations.

•         Strong understanding of RAM principles and logistics engineering processes.

•         Ability to interpret and comply with international shipping regulations and Defense Transportation System (DTS) procedures.

•         Ability to multitask and manage logistics in a high‑tempo, geographically dispersed environment.

Preferred

•         Experience with VSAT SATCOM, baseband systems, or tactical communications support.

•         Experience managing OCONUS logistics or international warehouse operations.

•         Experience coordinating with DoD agencies, foreign militaries, or joint service logistics teams.

•         Experience using GATES, CMOS, DTTS, WAWF/iRAPT, or other DoD logistics systems.

•         Lean Six Sigma, supply chain management certification, or logistics engineering training.

•         Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds (occasionally).

•         Must be able to work in warehouse, office, and flight-line or depot environments as required.

•         Must be able to operate standard office equipment, logistics software, and material handling devices.

Physical Setting:

•         Work performed in a combination of office, warehouse, and Army facility environments at Aberdeen Proving Ground and remote locations.

•         Occasional visits to global distribution points, staging areas, and logistics hubs.

 

Schedule and Flexibility:

•         Standard full-time schedule with flexibility required to support global logistics timelines.

•         Occasional evenings, weekends, or rapid response tasking to support mission needs.

•         International travel may be required.

Additional Qualifying Factors

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels required and must also be able to obtain access to military installations.

•         Must meet all APG access requirements.

•         Must comply with DoD, Federal, and international logistics policies.

•         May require security clearance depending on mission tasks.
