Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various structures, including residential and commercial buildings. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to read blueprints and schematics to ensure precise installations. The Glazier will work closely with other construction professionals to deliver high-quality results on each project.

Duties

• Install glass in windows, doors, skylights, and other structures according to specifications.
• Measure and cut glass to fit specific dimensions.
• Prepare surfaces for glass installation by cleaning and applying necessary adhesives or sealants.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of glass installations.
• Collaborate with contractors and other construction personnel on remodeling projects.
• Fabricate custom glass pieces as required for unique installations.
• Assemble frames and supports for glass installations using metal stud framing techniques.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction sites while performing duties.

Experience

• Proven experience in glazing or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with construction painting techniques is a plus.
• Experience in cabinet installation and general remodeling is beneficial.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment on construction sites.
• Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics are essential.
• Previous experience fabricating glass products is advantageous.
