Glass and Aluminum Field Installer
Location – Altoona, PA*Candidates must reside within a daily commutable distance of this area.

Our client, a local glass and glazing company, has an immediate, full-time job opportunity available for a dependable and detailed-oriented Glass and Aluminum Field Installer (Glazier).
The schedule is Monday - Thursday with Four (10 hour) days. Required overtime on Fridays as needed. Out-of-town work will be required at times (paid travel time, lodging with a daily per-diem).
Qualifications:
• Experience with glass and aluminum fabrication and installation techniques is a plus. Company is willing to train a motivated candidate
• Carpentry skills are highly preferred
• Capability to accurately measure, cut, and shapes glass and metal components
• Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans is a plus
• Physical stamina, dexterity, and capability of lifting heavy items, require working at heights on scaffolding or lift
• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain
• Ability to work effectively with others in a fast-paced construction environment
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR per company’s insurance requirements
General Responsibilities:
• Installs and repairs glass panels and aluminum products, such as windows, storefronts, mirrors, doors, and curtain walls
• Fabricate aluminum frames and other metal components to prepare the openings for glass installation
• Removes old or broken glass and performs necessary repairs or replacements
• Applies sealants, gaskets, and other materials to ensure installations are watertight and weatherproof.
• Cooperate with project managers, construction workers, and others team members to ensure that installations align with the project plan, budget, and timeline
• Gather, load and unload product materials. Operate lifts and power tools safely
• Adheres to all safety standards and best practices, especially when working with heavy, sharp, or fragile materials, or at heights using scaffolding or lifts
Compensation & Scheduled Overview:
• Starting hourly rate based on qualifications and experience
• Monday - Thursday with Four (10 hour) days. Required overtime on Fridays as needed.
• Out-of-town work will be required. Paid travel time, lodging with a daily per-diem
