Currently we are searching for a GIS Technician to fulfill an immediate long?term contract opportunity with a major utilities?focused organization.
This position is a Contract?to?Hire role. The role is fully onsite in Montgomery, AL.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Create engineering designs and cost estimates using ArcPro GIS software.
- Edit map features and maintain accurate attribute data within the GIS system.
- Distribute updated maps to internal teams and manage ongoing map revisions.
- Handle easement and right?of?way requests, coordinating with stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain a consistent onsite schedule: 7:30 AM4:00 PM with a 30?minute lunch
- Alternate schedules:7:003:30 or 7:004:00 with a 1?hour lunch.
- 13 years of GIS experience in a professional or applied environment.
- Either a Bachelors degree in Geography OR an accredited GIS Certificate program.
- Bonus qualifications:
- Exposure to Maximo
- Experience using ArcPro (preferred over legacy ArcMap).
