Overview
GIS ANALYST (GEO):
Bowhead seeks a GIS Analyst to support the Pacific Installation Geospatial Engineering Office located in Pearl Harbor, HI. The purpose of this contract is to provide geospatial solutions to attain, maintain, and sustain the PACAF and AFIMSC/Det 2 GEO vision of one geospatial information structure that electronically depicts built and natural infrastructure on each Air Force installation.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge of advanced relational database concepts
- Provide formal and informal training
- Troubleshooting desktop, web, database, server
- Demonstrate familiarity with server-side software to include Internet
Information Server (IIS) and Oracle - Produce technical documents
- Demonstrate proficiency with other web development technologies including
but not limited to HTML5, CSS, JSP, ASP, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, REST, SQL, etc.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field
• Five (5+) years of experience with the use and administration of Esri’s ArcGIS Desktop and Server solution
• Experience with GIS data development and integrating enterprise geospatial applications into new and existing business processes
• Familiarity with web mapping applications using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS
• Familiarity with server-side software to include ArcGIS Desktop, ArcSDE, ArcGIS Server
• CompTIA’s Security+ certification
Preferred Qualifications:
• M.S. degree in a Scientific or Technical discipline
• Experience with and knowledge of advanced relational database concepts
• Experience troubleshooting desktop, web, database, server problems in a DoD environment
• Experience providing formal and informal technical training
• Experience with the DAF GEO Program
• Experience with ArcPortal
• Experience with Leica GeoSystems software
• Experience with Autodesk’s AutoCAD 3D Map
• Experience with Trimble's resource, mapping, and survey grade GPS solutions
• Knowledge of SDSFIE
• Programming and scripting experience
• Familiarity with server-side software to include Internet Information Server (IIS) and Oracle
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
Pay Range: Pay will be determined after contract award based on position, requireiements, and education.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
