Job Summary:

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our ice cream shop operations, ensuring the highest standards of product quality, customer service, and team performance. You will lead by example, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment while consistently striving to exceed customer expectations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a proven track record of success in the food and beverage industry.


Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of shop operations, including opening/closing, inventory management, and compliance with health and safety standards to deliver fresh, high-quality ice cream and treats daily.

Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 10-15 team members, scheduling shifts, conducting training, and promoting a positive, collaborative atmosphere that emphasizes teamwork and growth.

Drive guest satisfaction by greeting customers, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to exceptional service and product knowledge (e.g., sharing flavor stories and pairing recommendations).

Manage financial performance, including sales targets, cost control, labor budgeting, and merchandising to maximize profitability while maintaining our fun, inviting store vibe.

Handle vendor relations, restocking supplies (like premium ingredients for fudge, cones, and toppings), and maintaining a spotless, organized store that invites foot traffic.

Analyze daily/weekly metrics to identify trends, implement improvements, and execute promotional events like flavor launches or seasonal tastings.

Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support peak times and special events.


Qualifications:

3+ years of management experience in food service, retail, or hospitality (restaurant or dessert shop preferred; experience with ice cream or fast-casual concepts a plus).

Proven track record in team leadership, customer service, and achieving sales goals in a high-energy environment.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with a genuine enthusiasm for people and a "can-do" attitude.

Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs (for scooping and stocking), and work in a refrigerated/cooler setting.

Basic proficiency in POS systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's in business/management preferred.

ServSafe or food handler certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).

Must have a valid driver's license.
