General Manager of Sales – Ohio Business Machines (OBM), Cleveland, OH
Ohio Business Machines (OBM) is a fast-growing regional provider of office technology, IT services, managed print, and document workflow solutions. We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven General Manager of Sales to lead our Cleveland-area sales team. This role focuses on building, coaching, and managing a high-performing sales team while driving new business growth across the market.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of outside B2B sales professionals
  • Build a strong sales culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and results
  • Oversee daily sales activity, pipeline management, and CRM usage (Compass/Sherpa)
  • Hire, onboard, and train Account Managers and Business Development Representatives
  • Drive net-new business through consultative selling of copiers, IT services, managed print, and document workflow solutions
  • Set clear sales goals, KPIs, and performance expectations
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development to the sales team
  • Partner with executive leadership on territory strategy and market growth
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and service teams to support lead flow, onboarding, and customer retention
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience managing a B2B sales team
  • Proven success hiring, developing, and coaching sales professionals
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience using CRM tools and Microsoft Office
  • Based in or able to travel regularly throughout the Cleveland market
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in office technology, IT services, or business solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience growing a sales team or expanding a regional market
