Lou Lou’s Tavern is a brand-new restaurant concept opening this spring at The Refinery, and we’re looking for an exceptional Front of House General Manager to help lead the opening and shape the guest experience from day one.
Inspired by the site’s historic train system, Lou Lou’s will feel like a vibey, welcoming tavern with big booths, a lively bar, outdoor seating, and a strong connection to The Refinery’s live music culture. This is a place where hospitality, energy, and intention come together.
About the Role
The General Manager will be the experienced leader of the restaurant—owning the guest journey, building and developing the FOH team, and partnering closely with culinary and ownership to create a cohesive, high-performing operation.
This role is ideal for a leader who is both people-first and detail-driven, thrives in opening environments, and understands that great hospitality is felt, not forced.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire the Front of House team, setting the tone for service, culture, and professionalism
Own the guest experience across all touchpoints—from the first hello to the final farewell
Recruit, train, and develop a strong FOH leadership team and hourly staff
Partner with culinary leadership to ensure seamless BOH/FOH collaboration
Oversee daily operations, scheduling, labor management, and service execution
Maintain high standards for service, cleanliness, and atmosphere
Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a General Manager or senior FOH leader in a full-service restaurant
Strong leadership presence with a calm, confident, hands-on style
Passion for hospitality, food, beverage, and building memorable experiences
Experience opening restaurants or leading teams through growth is a plus
Financial and operational awareness, with a guest-first mindset
