General Ledger Accountant - Hybrid Role - Downtown Houston

Accountant duties include but are not limited to:
  • Propose, prepare, and input general journal entries in the accounting system.
  • Prepare bank account reconciliations. Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for assigned accounts.
  • Maintain prepaid expenses amortization schedules.
  • Maintain fixed assets depreciation and amortization schedules. Maintain lease schedules.
  • Manage SAP Concur workflow.
  • Prepare quarterly financial statements and the quarterly consolidated reporting packages for financial reporting. 
  • Provide accounting support for LNG operations. Perform and coordinate ETRM invoice settlements.
  • Assist in the monthly accounting and GL closing process for the operating legal entities on activities such as Commodity inventory bookings, monitoring of sales, purchase and transportation bookings and associated tie out.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting, including financials, consolidations, settlements, and AP & AR
  • Natural Gas industry is required.
  • Strong MS Office package skills, particularly MS Excel.  
  • Exceptional organizational skills include the ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and change within a dynamic business environment.
