GCP Data Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC -Hybrid(3 Days onsite & 2 Days remote)
Duration: 12+ Months with high chance of extension
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications. GCP HAS TO HAVE EXPERIENCE HANDS ON DEVELOPMENT AND NOT SUPPORT
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable object-oriented Python code
Build, maintain, and optimize Airflow DAGs for data pipelines and workflow orchestration
Develop and support RESTful APIs for internal team consumption
Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases for data persistence and querying
Contribute to lightweight UI components as needed to support API usage
Collaborate closely with Louis Cosentine and the broader development team
Participate in code reviews and uphold high standards for code quality
Troubleshoot and enhance existing applications and workflows
 
Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience as a Python Developer with demonstrable coding skills
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow (DAG development, scheduling, monitoring)
Experience working with databases (SQL preferred; NoSQL a plus)
Experience designing and building APIs (RESTful services)
Ability to contribute to basic UI development when needed
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills
 
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Flask, Django, or FastAPI
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Experience supporting data pipelines or analytics-driven teams
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices
Enterprise environment experience
 
The position will require:
Strong Python and object-oriented programming experience
Airflow expertise
Either GCP or OCP skills
