Garage Door Installer
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Garage Door Installer to install, repair, and service garage doors. This role requires hands-on work, travel to local customer locations, and safe operation of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
Schedule
Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 4:00 PM $24 PER HOUR
On-call rotation required for emergency after-hours service calls (on-call pay discussed during interview)
After training, employee will report to the office daily to pick up and return company vehicle
Essential Functions
Install, repair, and replace garage doors using various carpentry materials
Travel to customer sites to complete service requests and product installations
Lift, transport, and handle heavy materials and equipment
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
Maintain accurate work orders and time records
Adjust or modify products to improve performance and functionality
Build and maintain positive customer relationships during service visits
Follow safety procedures and company standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and push/pull up to 150 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders frequently
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic tool knowledge preferred
Valid drivers license with clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required
Must pass background check and drug screening
Steel-toe boots required
Physical Demands
Regular lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and bending
Frequent standing and walking in residential, commercial, and manufacturing environments
Ladder use required
