Position Overview:
The OR Circulator RN will be responsible for managing the nursing care of patients during surgery, ensuring patient safety, and assisting the surgical team by maintaining a sterile and organized environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with surgical team members and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care
- Prepare the operating room with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures
- Maintain aseptic and sterile techniques
- Document all nursing activities accurately in patient records
- Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and postoperative care
- Adhere to hospital protocols, safety regulations, and infection control policies
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License New Mexico or Compact State License
- Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification preferred
- CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse) Certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of recent OR Circulating experience required
