Full-Time Nanny in Sedgefield for a 6-Month-Old

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Sedgefield Neighborhood of South Charlotte in finding a Full-Time Nanny for their 6-month-old son. The nanny would typically be needed Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Friday, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.

The best nanny for this family would be a punctual, dependable, attentive, and developmentally minded caregiver who is fully present and engaged throughout the day. This position requires limited personal phone use while on duty and a strong alignment with a screen-free approach. The ideal candidate has hands-on infant experience, a strong understanding of developmental milestones, and is confident in helping children transition from bottles to solid food. Each day, the nanny should intentionally incorporate tummy time, sensory play, music, neighborhood strolls, and outdoor exploration into each day.

This nanny should be a clear and consistent communicator, providing parents with regular updates and photos and offering thoughtful insight into the child’s daily routines and progress. Maintaining the child’s schedule is important, while also remaining flexible and responsive as needs naturally change with growth and development. Mom works from home on Fridays, so the nanny should be comfortable working in a collaborative household environment while maintaining professionalism and independence.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

Household Duties Include (Child is first priority):

• Child’s laundry and changing children’s sheets weekly

• Child’s meal prep

• Unloading/loading dishwasher and sanitizing bottles

• Wiping down kitchen counters

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the child

• Emptying the diaper pail

Pets: The family has a Golden Retriever and a Dachshund. The nanny will be asked to let them into the fenced-in yard throughout the day.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Nanny should be fluent in English; any additional languages are a plus

• Must be up to date on childhood vaccinations and TDAP prior to starting the position.
