Connected Health Care is seeking a Full-Time Hospital Pharmacist to join a respected healthcare partner in Watertown, South Dakota. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced pharmacists and new graduates who are eager to grow their careers in a supportive, patient-centered environment.
Job Description
As a Hospital Pharmacist, you will play a key role in ensuring safe and effective medication use across all areas of the hospital. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and promote best practices in medication therapy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, dispense, and review medications for accuracy and appropriateness
- Provide clinical support to healthcare providers regarding drug therapy and interactions
- Monitor patient medication regimens for therapeutic effectiveness and safety
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
- Educate patients and staff on medication use and best practices
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and inventory control of all pharmaceutical products
- Bachelors or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution
- Current South Dakota Pharmacist License (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
- Previous hospital or clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
