Full Stack Engineer (Java / AWS / Angular) Contract to Hire

Engagement Type: Contract through end of year with strong potential for conversion to full time.

Location: Hybrid Reston, VA

- Work as a hands-on Full Stack Engineer in a team of 7, supporting both new development and ongoing maintenance of an external facing training application.
- Design, develop, and enhance applications using Java (backend), Angular (frontend), and AWS (cloud services).
- Build and maintain high performance, reliable, and user-friendly web applications for lenders and trainers in the capital markets sector.
- Develop and maintain both UI components and backend services, supporting user workflows and data processing.
- Implement and automate testing across UI and backend layers; validate user stories end to end.
- Collaborate using GitHub-based workflows (branching, pull requests, code reviews) and optionally leverage GitHub Copilot.
- Work directly in AWS environments, supporting application deployment, optimization, and cloud-native best practices.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the stability of mission-critical applications.
- Collaborate closely within a development team and with product/engineering partners to deliver thoroughly tested solutions.
- Required: Experience in Java, Angular, AWS, test automation, GitHub, and external facing application development.
- Preferred: Capital markets experience and familiarity with GitHub Copilot. Full Stack Engineer (Java / AWS / Angular)
