Construction Full‑Charge Bookkeeper

A growing real estate development firm in Wilsonville, Oregon is seeking an experienced Construction Full‑Charge Bookkeeper to manage the company’s day‑to‑day accounting operations. This is a one‑person accounting role partnering closely with ownership and an outside CPA firm.
This position offers a hybrid schedule, competitive hourly pay, and the opportunity to take full ownership of the accounting function for multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full‑cycle accounting for construction and development operations
- Manage WIP (Work in Progress) schedules, job costing, and project financials
- Process AP, AR, payroll coordination, and bank reconciliations
- Track and manage construction liens and lien waivers
- Coordinate closely with external CPA firm for monthly closes, year‑end, and tax compliance
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and support budgeting and forecasting
- Maintain accurate records across multiple projects and entities
- Ensure compliance with construction accounting best practices and deadlines
Qualifications
- 3+ years of construction accounting experience (developer or GC preferred)
- Proven experience as a full‑charge or standalone bookkeeper
- Strong knowledge of WIP reporting, job costing, and lien tracking
- Comfortable working independently and owning the accounting function
- Experience collaborating with CPA firms
- Proficiency with accounting software (construction ERP experience a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Compensation & Benefits
- $30–36/hour, based on experience
