Construction Full‑Charge Bookkeeper

Developer | Hybrid | Wilsonville, OR
$30–36/hour DOE

A growing real estate development firm in Wilsonville, Oregon is seeking an experienced Construction Full‑Charge Bookkeeper to manage the company’s day‑to‑day accounting operations. This is a one‑person accounting role partnering closely with ownership and an outside CPA firm.

This position offers a hybrid schedule, competitive hourly pay, and the opportunity to take full ownership of the accounting function for multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle full‑cycle accounting for construction and development operations
  • Manage WIP (Work in Progress) schedules, job costing, and project financials
  • Process AP, AR, payroll coordination, and bank reconciliations
  • Track and manage construction liens and lien waivers
  • Coordinate closely with external CPA firm for monthly closes, year‑end, and tax compliance
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and support budgeting and forecasting
  • Maintain accurate records across multiple projects and entities
  • Ensure compliance with construction accounting best practices and deadlines

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of construction accounting experience (developer or GC preferred)
  • Proven experience as a full‑charge or standalone bookkeeper
  • Strong knowledge of WIP reporting, job costing, and lien tracking
  • Comfortable working independently and owning the accounting function
  • Experience collaborating with CPA firms
  • Proficiency with accounting software (construction ERP experience a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
