Title: Fuel Cell Sealer/ Structures Mechanic

Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): 1st, 2nd & 3rd shift 40 hrs./week

Duration: 6+ Months

Job Description :

Seal, fillet and fay, cap seal, brush coat, etc. for major assemblies, sub-assemblies, precision bench and integral fuel cell.

Apply scotch cast, leveling compound, aerodynamic seal and pressure test, working from drawings, documents, process specifications, quality control requirements and established processes and procedures.

The Company will provide appropriate assistance in job training to enable employees to perform all necessary job functions including the following:

Work with blueprints, changes, specifications, work orders, etc. sealing to quality requirements.

Complete required data gathering transactions to facilitate all sealer progression.

Perform any and all required pickup, rework, fabrication, change incorporation, functional testing or check during or after final seal and/or seal progression.

Use measuring instruments as required to accomplish work assignments

Report and/or investigate job handicaps such as errors, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc.

Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training, coaching and assisting employees of all classification levels.

Document any discrepancies according to specification, process, and procedure.

Temporarily attach parts and or assemblies, install collars and other hardware not related to drilling or countersinking.

Integral Fuel Cell Sealing - Apply sealing compounds to seal fuel cell and related wing section components.

Additionally, the employee must have the skill and knowledge to perform one or more of the skills listed below, along with any lower level sealant level described below:

Sealer - Major Assembly / Large structure sealing / Aerodynamic seal

Required Skills:

Must be able to work either shift.

Must be eligible for rehire at BOEING. - Resource can call 866-473-2016 to find out eligibility. - it takes 24/48hrs. to receive a call back.

Pay Rate plus $110 per diem (Per-diem only for non-local workers or someone who resides over 100 miles from the work location)

Training includes SEA092, SEA083, ASY050 and the standard online training. (We're finding out with Training team what those terms mean, and we'll send out an email when we receive an update)

Training will take place in Wichita, KS

Client will schedule/pay for flights (Mileage reimbursement is being offered if candidate wants to drive instead of fly)

Client is offering hotel reimbursement for training only while in Wichita.

ASY050 Training Details:

Course Description: Area specific training for understanding sealant and the techniques in which to apply different applications of the area being trained.

Audience: Personnel who will be performing or inspecting the sealing of integral fuel-tank structures per Boeing BAC5504

Pre-requisites: SEA092 - Post Assembly Sealing of Boeing Aircraft Structures

Course Description: This course is designed to train personnel to safely and properly prepare, seal and inspect integral fuel tank structures to ensure the containment of fuel.
